Photography
Pure & Simple!
Taking documentary photography into new areas, capturing the essence of the human experience in a single moment. Attempting to depict a scene as realistically and objectively as possible, like holding up a mirror to society and allowing the viewer to make the interpretation.
Raw Piranha attempt, in their work, to capture the spirit of such celebrated proponents of the art as Ken Domon and Henri Cartier-Bresson who once said "To take a photograph is to align the head, the eye and the heart. It is a way of life". Many of the images use black and white to enhance the mood or isolation of the moment or colour to take the viewer into the simplicity of that experience.
Commissioned pieces follow the same principle of allowing the subject to appear natural, as if caught in an unguarded moment, allowing the true depth of emmotion in the moment to shine through.
