C.H.A.D.S. is an amateur drama group formed in 1996 by Christine Lawrence in the Compton Hall, Compton Bassett from which it derived it's name. Chris has had extensive experience in amateur theatre
The group currently stages two shows a year, usually in late spring and late autumn and past productions have included A Christmas Carol, 'Allo, 'Allo!, Dad's Army, Wait Until Dark, The House of Dracula, Billy Liar and No Sex Please We're British!
Their repertoire can be described as eclectic and have sucessfully presented musical revues, drama's, comedies, thrillers, old time music halls and farces, all to geat acclaim.
They are always looking to welcome new members to this friendly group so if you are of a theatrical bent and over the age of seventeen, why not give them a call or visit one of their reheasals? Each production is always great fun and there are many aspects of theatre which you may be able to help with if treading the boards is not your thing. If you're interested and are worried because you have no experience there will always be someone to hold your hand and guide you through your first steps towards becoming the next Gielgud!
