The White Horse Inn dates back to the early 1700’s and became an inn in the 1860’s.

Today it is a traditional English Inn at its best. Located in the heart of Compton Bassett it is one of the few remaining free houses in Wiltshire

The White Horse Inn is a welcoming and friendly place offering bed and breakfast accommodation, delicious home made food, fine wines and of course, having recently received a CAMRA accreditation, great local ales.

All food is freshly prepared using the finest locally sourced ingredients with fresh fish delivered daily. Our meat comes from acclaimed family butcher Walter Rose of Devizes and, because we prepare all food to order, we can cater for special dietry requirements.

Keen to be actively involved with the local community the Landlady & Landlord Tara & Danny Adams hold monthly quiz nights, BBQ’s, live music, and skittle competitions.
